Short answer: most wedding photo collection apps (Wedding Memento included) start free; for a small ceremony that's often enough. You only upgrade when you need more photos, longer storage, or extras like video.
What the free plan usually covers
- A set number of photos (e.g. up to 100)
- QR code generation and unlimited guest uploads
- A shared album and basic download
When upgrading makes sense
With a high guest count, the photo limit fills fast. Paid plans add value if you want videos, high-resolution bulk ZIP download, and longer retention. Decide by asking "how many photos do I expect?" — 150+ guests routinely produce 2,000-3,000 frames in one night.
Rule of thumb: multiply your guest count by 15 — that's roughly how many photos accumulate in one night. 150 guests ≈ 2,250 photos.
Hidden-cost traps
Some tools look free but compress photos or delete them after 30 days. For wedding memories that's unacceptable. When comparing prices, always check original quality and retention period.
The verdict
For a small wedding the free plan may be enough; for a large one, a paid plan pays for itself in original quality and permanent storage. See current plans on our pricing page, and read our QR vs WhatsApp comparison before deciding.
